SCGC membership volunteer sign up for the Annual Plant Sale by task and date. Some tasks have limited availability therefore; a second choice will be requested during the sign up process. Please be sure to include your name contact information in the case your preferred volunteer position is already filled.
Physical requirements: Stand throughout shift, some lifting and bending.
Unload flats to the Staging Area where the Delivery Inventory Coordinators will check them off on the Master Order Form.
Once delivery of items is confirmed, place flats in order by Table # on the sale tables.
Water plants as needed.
Place price sticks and Plant ID tags.

Move plants, boxes, and some tables (4) to trailers and pickup truck.
When plants are loaded, drive to shelter to help unload plants and supplies.
Set up tables, place table signs.
Place plants on picnic tables using ID tags and following the plant list.
We need 3 trailers and 1 pickup truck to load up plants/ tables/ supplies at Carole Young's house on Friday afternoon. Then on Saturday morning, transport everything to the Island Lake Park shelter.

Set up tables; place table signs, concession items, and check out supplies.

Welcome customers as they arrive.
Hand out Sale Flyer with club information.
Answer questions about the sale.
Keep an eye on the supply of boxes.
Assist shoppers with locating plants on the sales floor.

Answer questions (or find someone who can)
Document Inventory Sell Out Sheet date/time
Physical requirements: Some lifting and bending
Keep the sale area tidy, deal with trash / recycling as needed
Gather leftover plants, trays, signs, supplies, garden shed items, concessions as needed.
Load items to appropriate vehicles.
Physical requirements: Some lifting and bending.
Assist with receiving, pricing and displaying donated plants and garden items.
Assure all items have an ID tag with plant information.
Make sure that like items are priced appropriately.
Physical requirements: Stand throughout shift
Answer questions from customers about donated plants / garden items
Assist shoppers with Garden Shed items
Physical requirements: No standing required.
Verify totals from tally sheets
Collect cash or check payments from customers.
Process credit card sales ($15 minimum) on Square.
Physical requirements: Usually must stand throughout shift.
Count customer's plants by price and record totals on Tally Sheet.
Assure all of customers purchases are accounted for and accurately recorded.
Physical requirements: Some standing and/or sitting.
Sell water / coffee / snacks (Cash only)
